[5.20.17] The women’s skate community in the Bay Area got together this weekend to host a Grom Jam to showcase the awesome young rippers of Prooflab and fundraise for Skate Like a Girl’s SF Bay Area Chapter. Everyone came together to support Lil Dwyer aka @lilsk8rat who has been hosting ladies nights every Friday at Prooflab and has built a community for girls to have fun and support each other. The contest was all about having fun and provided an inclusive space for girls to shine. After skating, the girls participated in a Grip Art workshop led by art teacher Jenn Demorizi. Each skater got to customize a new sheet of grip from Jessup. At the end of the day, everyone walked away with a smile, new friends and new gear.
