[1.1.16] We kicked off the new year at Santa Cruz’s Museum of Art and History (MAH) for the opening night of their new exhibition “Strength & Struggle” featuring ladies of shred. The exhibit includes images by photographer Tiffany Campbell as well as the legendary all girls skate film “Getting Nowhere Faster” created by Campbell and Lisa Whitaker in 2004 – the first ever female skate film created by female skaters. The night included a live skate demo by OGs Vanessa Torres and Alex White along with a crew of young guns who are currently filming for a new full length female skate film “Quit Your Day Job,” set to release in 2016.
